Hi 3K,
Noah told me that you guys went to see the play and that it was really funny. I hope you all had a good time and will tell me about it when I get back. I have already been in school for 10 days. Time is flying by for me. I will be back before I know it.
Today, I had to learn how to pick up and carry really big ladders. The one was so big it took 4 people to carry. Then they put that big ladder up against the building and we had to climb it to the 3rd floor and climb in a window. That was the easy part. They we had to take turns being "unconscious" which is like unwillingly being asleep. It isn't a good state for your body to be in but your still alive. So, we pretended to be that and someone else had to get us down the ladder. I had to be "unconscious" 3 times and I had to be the rescuer once. Then we went to the burn building to learn how to climb a ladder and carry a fire hose with you. That was fun too because we got to turn the water on once we got to a certain window. I am going to post some pictures, just don't try any of these things at home.

ReplyDeleteIt depends on the ladder. Some I can carry by myself, but the really big ones with two extensions take 4 people to carry so no one gets hurt. The gear is heavy and hot. Tomorrow we finally meet fire and it will be exciting and scary. I will let you know how it goes. I walked around the National Mall today. I saw the muesum I told you about that you need to see when your older. Have a great weekend.

Hi Miss,Pardoe We are going on a felid trip Friday we are going to see when you give a pig a pancake. I'm waiting to go to the JONAS BROTHERS consert this summer.We are having our spelling test on Wendsday insted of Friday because we are going to see the play.We had gym today I forgot my snekers but I am going to bring them tommrow.I had a soccer game on Saturday we didn't win because the other team were kicking us on purpisley. They made John cry because they were telling him he made all the penatles.I also have soccer practice to night Kyleigh,John,Lucas,Caleb,and Kody are on my team. Well I have to go talk to you later.

The school I am going to is fun. I spend some of my time inside watching power point slides full of stuff I have to learn and then other days we are outside in our gear working with the tools, hoses and soon we will be working with the fire more. Saturday, I finally got to see how the fire burns, fills a room with smoke in layers and what happens when you put the water on it in different ways.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't seen Obama yet. I have seen the Capital building, the Washington Monument up close, and walked past all the museums in between.
I don't think it is fair that you guys are going on all of your field trips without me. I will be back for field day though. So you guys better practice for it. I can't wait to see your play and how all of your hard work practicing will pay off.
Your soccer team sounds like a pretty good team. I wouldn't say to kick them back but don't let them push you around. Don't let them think you are doing something wrong either. Just do your best and that is all you can ask for. Let me know how your game goes next week. Is it day 5 or 6? I lost track and didn't bring my school calender with me to this school.

ReplyDeleteI am just 4 hours drive south of where we live. So when it is cold and rainy at home it is usually a little warmer and rainy here. I am in Maryland so I am not too far away. I am doing good. I got an 88% on my exam I took on Saturday. I made some silly mistakes, but I just have to pass. I won't get a letter grade on my report card, just a P or a F. P is what I want, that means PASS.
As for what I am doing, I spend some of my day in a class room listening to a teacher talk and show slides from the computer. Then rest of my day I am outside wearing my firefighter gear learning how to do things that I learned about when I was in the class room. Like roll the hose, how the tools work, how to rescue people, and soon we will be getting into how to put the fire out. It is a lot of stuff to learn in a short amount of time, so I have to study a lot after school. Have fun,
